Since 2008 the station Playamar Stereo has been working with the different population sectors proposed by the community, in the different productions of radio content that inform, educate, entertain, and mobilize citizens to build memory, strengthen cultural and territorial identity as well as promote  the   ;social change from a culture of peace and rebuilding the social fabric.

Our radio station was created as a non-profit entity, legally registered asPLAYAMAR FOUNDATION - FUPLAMAR, with the purpose of being a channel that transforms realities that is linked to the commitment to the development of the municipality of San Onofre, through the participation and promotion of citizen coexistence, generating spaces for dialogue and interlocution between the different existing sectors and institutionality through communicative and interactive processes.

With the support of the Ministry of Culture, the production and dissemination of  la  radial strip “the traveling backpack”, in which local stories are told that  strengthen the culture and identity of the San onofrina population. 

The radio program  “Reporteritos de Paz” was implemented and is carried out  by 20 boys and girls between 9 and 14 years of age. Its main objective has been to recover and strengthen the customs, traditions and values of the population through the production of radio chronicles, al as well as the recovery of historical memory about the violence and resistance that the residents of the municipality experienced.
 
For the year 2017, Playamar Stereo  participated in the project  Community Radios for Peace and Coexistence, producing 7 radio strips (28 programs) with which great contributions were made  to the culture of peace and coexistence, through the active participation of different population sectors in the planning and construction of programs that tell the stories of reconciliation of leaders. and civil society peace initiatives.
